YO!  Yes it is, actually. You have successfully de-virginized my ask box thingy. I didn’t even know how to react to the shiney red    (1) above my email icon.   D’aaawwhhh.

      The day before Yesterday a friend of mine was telling me about his job in this call centre in town… he told me they were looking for some new team members and I (out of habit) yelled “Oooh pick me ” little did I know he would be so helpful and literally sent me the address of the Business Park, told me I should reference him and told me g’luck.

I went with it, topped up my CV for a few minutes, made sure it looked all right and then wrote a personal cover letter for the company. I sent it off yesterday. 4 hours later I got a phone call from the company stating they they have never got back to someone so quickly  and we’re very impressed by my attitude towards the job and would I like to come in the following morning ( today) at 10am for an interview. I said hells yes and went in this morning for it.. after not sleeping so well last night.

I’ve been on the dole for.. 4months now? Maybe a little less? and I’m telling you - it was killing me. Fair enough I was getting paid to sit on my ass all day but OMG. I was so bored. and I like to show my working skills - it’s very frustrating not being able to show your strengths when they don’t let you walk in the door. But I got my chance today, and low and behold - an hour and a half after the interview almost to the second, they offered me a full time work placement and 4 weeks training classes. I am absolutely chuffed with myself, still a little scared and my first day starts tomorrow at 9am. But still - how many other people can say they applied for a job, and got it the next day? :P 

On other news! Mum said yes to both the iPhone AND the Fugi finepix F500 camera I’ve had my eye on. I will be able to buy my own camera in a couple of weeks and then she said she’ll either let me buy my own iPhone, or she’ll “Put money towards it for my 21st”. <—- that usually means she’ll buy it for me as a pressie as a surprise on the day. I’ve decided I will
